Lifekind Health Comes to Scottsdale: Arizona’s New Integrated Pain Model

A California chronic pain provider’s Scottsdale HQ move reveals how far Arizona’s healthcare market has matured, and what patients should expect from integrated care.

When a chronic pain company walks away from California to plant its global headquarters in Scottsdale, it is worth asking why. Lifekind Health’s move, with corporate operations launched January 2026, its first Arizona clinical location acquired in May, and a surgical facility operational in September, is the kind of decision that reveals something real about where Arizona’s healthcare market has arrived. And for the one in five American adults managing chronic pain, it signals a meaningful change in what the local options look like.

What Lifekind Health Actually Does (and Why It’s Different)

The label “chronic pain treatment” covers an enormous range of approaches, from monthly prescriptions to nerve blocks to cognitive behavioral therapy. What distinguishes Lifekind is its Unitized Transdisciplinary Care model. Rather than routing patients through a sequence of disconnected specialists, its UTC framework integrates medical, behavioral, physical, and complementary therapies inside a single coordinated care ecosystem, what the company calls Healthcare in Harmony.

That distinction matters more than it might sound. The standard, siloed path for a chronic pain patient in most markets means separate appointments with an orthopedist, a pain management specialist, a physical therapist, and possibly a psychologist. Those clinicians rarely communicate in real time. The patient becomes the default coordinator of their own complex care, which is both exhausting and clinically suboptimal.

Transdisciplinary models solve that coordination problem by architecture, not improvisation. Lifekind operates seven pain clinics and an ambulatory surgery center in California on this model. Its proprietary Savas Software platform, built from clinical experience and research, makes the integrated approach scalable across locations. The Scottsdale headquarters at 18940 N Pima Road is not a satellite outpost. CEO Alon Moritz has positioned it as the command center for the company’s national expansion strategy.

Why Scottsdale, and What That Choice Signals

California provided Lifekind’s clinical track record, but Arizona is where the company sees room to move. Moritz cited Arizona’s “momentum and openness to companies like ours” as the deciding factor. That framing points to specifics: regulatory environment, operating costs, and healthcare talent density, not merely population growth or favorable weather.

The talent numbers support the confidence. Greater Phoenix added nearly 50,000 healthcare jobs between 2018 and 2023, and the sector is projected to grow another 25 percent over the next decade. That pipeline of clinical workers is what makes building a transdisciplinary team in Scottsdale plausible without recruiting from scratch against an empty labor market.

A broader pattern is at work here too. Arizona has absorbed a steady stream of California-based businesses across every industry, drawn by lower operating costs and a regulatory climate that moves faster and restricts less. Healthcare is not immune to those dynamics. Providers who want to test or scale innovative care models frequently find California’s requirements slow and expensive to navigate. Arizona lets them build while they grow.

Lifekind is already pursuing acquisitions and partnerships with existing Arizona providers rather than competing against them from scratch. That means local clinics and pain specialists could become integrated into the Lifekind network, reshaping referral relationships across the Valley. The company’s nonprofit Lifekind Foundation also has community programs in development for veterans and seniors in the Arizona market.

What This Means If You Are Choosing a Pain Provider in Arizona

Chronic pain is one of the most under-treated and most expensive conditions in U.S. healthcare, and the research on integrated approaches consistently outperforms single-specialty care on pain outcomes and quality of life. These models remain uncommon in most markets, which means most patients end up in a fragmented system by default, not by deliberate choice.

Lifekind’s arrival gives Arizona patients a new benchmark. But its presence also makes it worth applying the same analytical lens to any provider you consider. The right questions are less about credentials in isolation and more about coordination: Does this practice communicate with your other providers in real time? Is there a behavioral health component embedded in your plan, not referred out separately? Does your treatment strategy address the full picture driving your pain, or only the symptom that brought you in?

For Arizona providers already working in pain management, Lifekind’s move is a competitive signal. The integrated model is becoming the benchmark expectation for patients who have done any research. Practices that still operate in clinical isolation will find it harder to retain patients who know a better-coordinated option exists nearby.

Arizona’s healthcare professionals, from general practitioners to orthopedic surgeons who routinely refer out for pain care, now have an integrated option in their referral toolkit that did not exist six months ago. The advisors who will serve Arizona patients best are the ones who understand which integrated care models now operate locally and can match a patient’s specific circumstances to the right fit, whether that is Lifekind or another practice building toward the same coordinated standard.
